Yeah it's really stupid, if 16 year olds can buy cigarettes they should be able to go on a no smoking programme! Try reading Allen Carrs Easyway to stop smoking, that's how I stopped last novemeber.
p.s: Glad to see you're feeling a bit better babe, you're thinking about other things which is good!

I gave up over 30 years ago. It was hard and I longed for a ciggy. The first week is the worst and after that the main danger is a social event and you still have a clutching hand for a ciggy Friend are also a b----y pain if they smoke 'cos some think it is funny to blow smoke in your face and make a show of opening their fags so it is down to you to show what you are made of, by the time you are 18 you will not want any programme and you can bore the pants off everyone talking willpower. If you want to give up good luck. If you don't you are just a sucker burning your money and paying tax for the privilege

I agree that the smoking ban needs to be clearer however I think you've misunderstood some of the legislation. Anybody is allowed to smoke in their own home unless it is also being used as an office by a person other than the owner. The Houses of Parliament would have been exempt from the rule [as will embassies] but they have chosen to make it a no smoking area. As for the smoking program age, I think that's ridiculous if its true! :]

I wasn't aware that under 18's could not access this programme, you are right then does not seem to make a lot of sense.
Hopefully as you are younger - and hopefully not smoked for as long as some others you might have stronger willpower if you really want to give up. There are lots of books including Allan Carr and Paul Mackenna which are meant to be helpful
Stick at it, you will feel and look all the better for giving up

dont start then no need to quit. nobody force it in your mouth and shout "inhale mother pucker!" nobody made you spend ridiculous amount of money on paper trees and cotton wool in a box that even tells you not to! get a life and just stop, put money in a jar instead and treat yourself to a holiday this time next year as a reward for quitting, why you need some over paid ponce to sit and talk you out of it is beyond me, how many brain cells do you pop each time you smoke!

yopu can smoke in your own house, just like members of the government, but they, like you will NOT be allowed to smoke where poeople work, so the houses of Parliament will be non smoking . No different rules for them. You can always just give up, of buy the patches of gum if you want help to give up.

no one forced you to start smoking, and that is the root of your problem, your own doing. You have no right to whine about no one supporting your efforts to quit, why should they?
take responsibility for your own actions.
