Cricket in India has became a big business and it's time now that the salaries for the players should be on the individual performance. Not only that but there aught to be some incentives for extra ordinary performances as well.

Of Course! Being a cricketer should be just like any other job. A better performance yields in a promotion and an increase in salary and a worse performance yiedls to a demotion and a decrease in salary.

but then again that is the current system right now as they are working on like a grade a contract (sachin, saurav, dhoni), grade b contract (yuvraj, sehwag) and the rest are in grade c are lower.

theyve had this system for a while and still the indian cricket team is struggling

Yes. The payment to players should be linked to their performance and not by seniority or any other criteria.,

not only of the indian team but every team of the world...there salaries should be ... i think must be according to their performance..
