does money matter to you in a long term relationship?
if the guy makes little income, would you not want to be with him? even reject him off the bat?

Money is nice to have and it's nice to not have to worry about how you are going to be able to pay bills and afford things. However, with that being said, I mean if you love someone you can learn to live with little money. I have learned in life money isn't everything. You have to give the person a chance. It's a decision in the end of money over personality. If you choose money you will never be truly happen and find the one you are meant to be with.

Sorry, I know I'm going to get some thumbs down for this but, if I was single, I would not go for a man who was poor. I'd want a man who at least made as much money as I do. I have two kids to support, and I would not go for supporting someone else as well. Too bad, so sad, that's life.

I used to not care if the guy had money or not. But as I got older I relized he doesn't need to be rich (would be nice though) but having a job with some kind of steady income would be nice.

Rent or mortgage?
Food?
May not matter to some, but when it comes down to it, somewhere down the road it's going to cause an argument.

Money makes the world go round my dear. At the end of the day it is how much cash you have that matters. What you are saying happens only in Fairy Tales and movies.

It depends - if he's poor due to really bad choices (ie ran up too much credit) then no, otherwise how much money he had or didn't have would not matter to me.

I have dated men that are poor. Money is not everything but it surely helps! I'd rather be poor and happy than rich and miserable.
