Question

A) Are Men more expressive or women ??

There r various situations where men & women act differently.
Sometimes they express themselves freely to people with whom they r not much emotionally connected but r not able to do so with people they know very well. [ I have felt so ].

B) So what holds them back from doing so ?
C) Do they fear that the other person would react negatively ?

Women are generally more expressive than men, they usually show their happiness and feelings whereas men arent always that open. But men dont mind expressing certain feelings.
Women dont express the inner conflictions and confusions that r going on in their mind, it might be a lot going on in their minds but they just show that they r sad or happy and try to get on with life till they cant stand it any more and break down.
Men are not scared to say that they r angry or happy. They just dont like admitting that they r sad and therefore "weak". The thoughts going on in a man's mind is also intense at times and needs to be expressed yet its not as complicated as a woman's.
Usually men and women can share their feelings with those who r close to them. But at times when u r very frustated u feel that noone will understand u or if its a secret or if u dont want to disturb other people's peaceful life, u just keep it within urself, till u find someone to talk to. Since we cant talk to our close friends or family we depend on strangers so that there is no obligation on their part to u and vice versa and u also get someone to share ur feelings with.
These r just my present thoughts. It needn't be exactly right.

both of them are expressive on the same level, it varies from person to person. like one woman can be more expressive than other and so on. Similarly in case of men.
As far as the thing that they express themselves to person they are not emotionally attached goes, I don't agree to it completely.
I mean at least I have not done something like this. Whenever I had to express my thoughts to someone, that person is either interested in listening what I want to tell him or otherwise he/she cares about me.

both men and women express equally but in diferent ways. We express others whom we don know because there is no fear of negative reaction.

I think women are more expressive, but if a man feels totally at ease and not vulnerable he will express his feelings. Men are taught not to be expressive and are told its a sign of weakness so if they feel vulnerable they wont open up.

its a reflection of individual personality,,,i express myself with my lady so much and she also back with me,we go along so well and we have great dialogue motivated by love ,passion and intellectual closeness,,holding back is an insecurity ,,

women are more expressive,they are not afraid to cry or show anger or happiness,but men are ashamed to let some one see them cry and they try to control there anger and they have to be really happy to show there happiness

It's easier to express yourself to peole you don't know personally.
There's less fear of them being judgmental.

woman have to buy more stuff to complete their wardrobe and and we have so many colour and we need everything macthing and me have only few colour choices ,exemple they can wear one kind coulour shoes with lots of their other stuff,
not to mention the cost of makeup
