since I have had big dogs and little dogs I can tell you it is a personal preference of which size you prefer. I had pit bulls before and they were very big and drooled alot, this is the down side, because they loved to sit on me. But they were very smart, we used to take them fishing with us and they would jump in the water and swim under the water looking for fish, big dogs are good for running and playing, My one dog used to get on our surfboard. Now I have little dogs, the down side to them is they think they are bigger than they really are so they attack everything, even though chasing the vaccuum is cute, chasing the old lady down the street is not. It is a little harder to teach them to not bite, Infact when I have gone to peoples houses they sometimes have to lock up the little dogs because the are a little crazy, we keep cages for our dogs when we have visitors they don't know. But the up side is they are easier to have as a lap dog, I can sit and watch a TV show with all three dogs on my lap, and the don't have big poopy to pick up where as a big dog leaves bigger poopy. Our yard is much happier we have little dogs. these are just a few of the pros and cons of having big and little dogs. I guess for now I would have to say I like my little dogs. Also just to mention this, maybe it can be another question for you some day, but I prefer any dog with short hair. I don't like shedding. Any dog I will ever have now or in the future will have short hair. They are the easiest to care for.

A real dog lover loves all sizes of dogs. I have a big dog but I still love the small ones too =)

Well, being a dog lover I inherently love all dogs, haha! But, in reality, I think I prefer bigger dogs. To me, they feel more personable.
Then again, that might only be because I own a smaller dog. If I owned a larger dog I might feel the opposite.

I prefer medium sized dogs, but I like big dogs too. The little dogs have a high pitched bark which I don't like.

I love all dogs..but it's the really really little ones I stay away from. They are so cute but I would never own one because everytime they get excited they pee. My sis love these dogs but I know better than to own one.

I love the big dogs, they're more fun to play with and you can wrestle with them. Small gods just yap and get in your way... I was raised with big dogs. My baby was a Mastiff/German shepard. He's was the sweetest thing in the world. R.I.P.

I'm not a natural dog lover, but I have a lhasa apso who is absolutely adorable. Love her to bits! Able to pick her up and cuddle her, sit with her on my knee, sleep with her and trust her with kids.....

BIG!!!!! definitely.
I especially love Labrador Retrievers.
The little dogs are yappy and yippy and pointless and annoying! I mean, they're cute, but i'd NEVER want to own one!!
