I've expressed my dissatisfaction with the scoring system here before, and I'll do so again. I had a starting pitcher on Thursday, June 28th, go seven innings, strike out 10, and get a win, and I lose a point and a half in the standings. Perhaps the scorers for these leagues toss a coin to determine how bad they're going to gouge the team owners. I suppose if i had a player hit four home runs and 10 rbi's in a game, I'd lose half a dozen points. How about a scoring system that makes sense?

I'm assuming your in a roto league. If so the scoring isn't based on just your stats, but rather your stats compared to your competitors. i.e. If your ERA didn't improve enough to pass someone else you get no points, however if someone else picked up more strikeouts and wins than you they'd actually gain points on you. Keep having good days like this and you'll find your team will improve.

When you check out the scores, click on Full Standings.
You are probably moving up in categories but not enough to pass the next guy. Saves and stolen bases can be real important. Sometimes a couple of saves can really move you up. If somebody has a base stealer get three or four in a game they can jump over a lot of people.
Remember there are only so many points, so if one player has an awesome day, a lot of other players get hurt.
Good luck!
