I am married and 26 yrs old. My last period was in mid april. Since then I haven't had my period as of yet. We had intercourse in around May 24-26 dates. I did blood test and urine test at the lab. Both came out negative. I just checked with my doctor and she said I will have to do Sonogram since i am two months late for my period and I may not be ovulating. I just felt my tummy is slightly getting bigger but that might be bloating. I feel tired and have lower back pain sometimes. Other than that I don't have any pregnency symptoms. Is it possible am I be Pregnent even though blood test came out negative. Anyone have this type of issue? Should I just wait another month or take the sonogram?

Take the sonogram! If your doctor finds an embryo attached, you are pregnant, and received false blood and urine tests, which happened to me until I was about 2 months pregnant! If he doesn't find an embryo, however, he may find some other problem or issue to approach. Your body is telling you something, it is important to find out what before it progresses into something that could become a problem!

I suggest that you follow the advice of your physician. Blood tests are not aways accurate to 100%. A sonogram is the most definitive and least invasive test that they can preform. Relax about! all do is put some warm gooey gel on your abdomen thene use the untrasound tool to bounce radio waves off the stuff inside your body. Completely painless:)

Good luck:)

Hmmm..really weird. Negative blood test, negative urine...no period. Take the sonogram and keep in touch with your doctor. Good luck with everyting.

I think the blood test should be accurate, but I would recommend the sonogram. It will put your mind at ease, and if you would have a cyst or something that could be messing up your cycle, it would probably pick up on that.

Don't wait, best thing is to have the sonogram. And don't be afraid to get e second opinion from another docter if the sonogram is inconclusive.

I hate when people say the blood test is 100%
I got a negative blood test and am now 20w 3d pregnant. (I saved the results so I can show my baby they said I wasn't) Of course I also had positive hpts.
I got a ultrasound to be 100%
You should too because it could be something more serious

Yes, please have the sonogram. There may be other things going on besides pregnancy like a fibroid tumor (not malignant, just very annoying and painful). If caught early enough, most issues are treatable so don't wait until you have no choice but to have surgery. God be with you.

No. You aren't pregnant. You can't fool the blood test. The sonogram is a good idea. There is something going on. Your ob/gyn can check for masses that way. She isn't looking for a pregnancy, if that is what you are thinking.
