I mean it's pretty obvious that he's going to run. And he's more popular than Juliani already, who was previously the republican front runner. I thought there was no way, considering the mess that Bush has made, that we'd have another republican in the white house come next election, especially not an ultra conservative. But if this guy gets the republican nomination, I'm a little scared for the democrats. I'm even more scared for the gay community. He's gonna put us all in sanitoriums or something.

We need more choices in the race, the ones we have are so bad. Literally all of them voted for the War in Iraq and are in favor of illegal immigration. This not democracy when we have such bad alternatives to serious national issues.

What is this whole "Love/hate" relationship that the Republican party has with Hollywood?
They are the party with more Actors turned Politicians and vice vera...but they critisize Hollywood for it's liberal ways every chance they get.

What's worce, is the Republican voters. They nod their heads and agree with the party line that the media is too liberal...but then overwhelmingly will vote for the Actor/Politician!

Ronald Reagan
Arnold Schwartzenager
Alan Autry
Shirley Temple Black (never elected, but has been appointed)
Clint Eastwood
George Murphy
Sonny Bono
Jerry Doyle(originally a Republican, but has since severed ties with the party and claims Independent)
Sonny Landham
Tom Laughlin

and of course...Fred Thompson

First, the President doesn't have the power to do much of anything. Congress passes the laws. Second, most people know the consequences in terms of world terrorism if we announce a planned pull-out in the Middle East. Third, you have to be awfully dedicated or awfully crazy to want to be President: it's a no-win office lately. Fourth, I'd vote for Thompson just because I like to hear him talk, the best public speaker in politics since the late Sen. Dirksen, and certainly a welcome relief from the highly inarticulate "W".

Meanwhile, let us pray that the best candidate wins, whoever he/she is.

I hope the republicans put up an extreme member of their party. They won't have a chance come election time!

Nope, I'm not getting scared. I've been scared about it. For quite a while now. And I'm a straight white dude from Tennessee. What's that tell you?
