heart won't show on display name?

Question

on myspace, i try to add a heart like this heart (as my display name), but it shows up as Y, instead of the heart. what's wrong??

Hold ALT and press 3 on the number pad to add a heart:

instead of ♥ put ^hearts; but replace the ^ with &
