Imitation is the best form of flattery

You have to take it as a compliment also. I know that's hard to do, because it sucks for you, I know I've been there, but that's what they are actually saying about you when they copy you.

Everyone gets their start somehow. Whether it's a role model on tv, or someone they see across the school campus. Sometimes it just happens to be a friend.

I have found that the best way to get them to stop is by steering them in a different direction.
Obviously they think you are cool and want to be like you. So what you want to do is, compliment them. Tell them they look great, but then suggest a different item they should try. It helps if you say something like "...would look great on you, I'm jealous, I can never wear something like that..." blah, blah, blah. Before you know it, you will not have a double anymore and you'll be doing something nice by helping them get their own style.

yeah I know what you mean it's funny. I hated too but when my friends pull that on me.I let them go be clone some where else. the posers when they don't see what you got become them selves again and even worse they lost their seance of style, so they look a mess after....

So if u don't wanna lose your friend just don't show them what you got. and when you get that new hot outfit, you tell them you can see it when I wear it. My mistake was showing it before so they went and copy it right after. so ppl was just like you guys look like no I sharp those ladies up.

they will get the point then next is gonna be when you have it on. it's like can I bye that from you. ;-/

LOL tell then get clue!!!! :D

Yeah, that can be annoying sometimes. That happened to me all the time when I was in public school, but if anybody copied me and then acted like theirs was better, I would just call them on it and say, "Girl, I wore that outfit last week. What u doin'?" lol.

I guarantee you that whatever you are wearing, you borrowed that style from somewhere. So I never hate it when people copy my style, because that is what style is for. Everyone is copying their style. I do hate it, however, when someone pretends like they came up with the style themselves or acts like theirs is better than mine! I'm with you there!

Just take it as the highest form of a complement. They loved what you did so much that they just had to copy it. And in all honesty what "style" have you innovated that hasn't been done by someone else in some point in history. Therefore ALSO making you a copier!

That has happened to me a lot of times. It gets me really annoyed, because they usually do it for a few years, and then try to take on my personality, and undermine my friends, as well. However, "imitation is the greatest form of flattery". I guess it's pretty awesome to have someone actually idolize you for something.

Of course,
but imitation is the best form of flattery. :]
I just try not to care about it and just add more stuff to my style. Little things I like. People will notice you first if you do it around school, then they'll know when someone follows. :]

Keep on being you. They say when people wear or copy you...its sup post to be the best form of flattery. They obviously think you are totally cool.

Mostly it bothers me because I think I have a unique wardrobe and style that I put together very carefully throughout my life. But sometimes if someone uses or borrows one of my ideas and gives me credit, I don't mind, it's a compliment!
