I've just read a posting on the 2 (one male & his supposed wife) being questioned by police concerning Madeleine McCann & other children possibly being abused...it got me thinking as to why a woman would even want to be near a guy like that.....a guy that sexually abuses children.
My instant reaction is they must be as bad as he is....but am I correct in that assumption or are maybe these women in denial or even total ignorance of what their man does'.....
what do you think?

Yes, of course...you're right - women too sexually abuse children, but somehow I can't see a guy hanging around a woman that did such things if he weren't into it himself.....maybe that's another assumption I have that needs questioning too.

In answer to your question - I have no idea what goes on in those womens minds (or any woman come to think of it! lol!) They cant be right in the head though.
Its worth noting that not ALL paedophiles are men.
Women are a minority in regards to child abuse, but it does happen.
All in all, whatever sex they are, they should be killed for it.
Im gonna detour from your question a second, but you know, I read yesterday about a judge who spared a long sentence to these two guys (in their 20's and early thirties) they met a 10 year old girl at a park, took back to their house, and both had sex with her. The judge said because the girl (remember, shes JUST TEN) was wearing frilly knickers and a bra, then she was acting provocativley, and "looked 16". So he sentenced them to just 8 months They had already served this while awaiting trial, So they were able to walk free that day.
AND THIS IS IN THE UK, NOT SOME MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRY?????
What a fking joke these laws are. There should be a no tollerance attitude, and yet the UK are letting peodophiles roam free.

There have been lots of news stories over the years of women who not only freely allow their boyfriends to abuse their children of either sex, physically and sexually, but who often cooperate. Two separate cases once appeared in the same week, describing identical abuse, one involving a boy and the other a girl. Ignorance or denial obviously can't be used as excuses in these cases.
Where there's no obvious intimidation on the part of the abuser, maybe it's something as basic as a lack of maternal instinct or a failure of parental bonding to develop for whatever reason. We "normal" people take it for granted, but it's not something we're born with, it's something that develops early on between parent and child, brother and sister. If it doesn't develop as it should, the field is wide open for what behavior might result, from sex to violence.

I think that while the majority of offenders are male, there are still a large number of females and a couple of big partnerships that stand out are Fred and Rose West and Hindley and Brady.
I don't think they could ever be in denial, how could they? If they are, then they are just as bad as the abuser because they know about it, yet do nothing to stop it
EDIT: oh and forgot about the Victoria Climbie case, where she was tortured to death by her aunt and uncle was it? (can't quite recall the relation, but it was a male and a female partenrship of abuse)

Paedophilia is a serious mental disease. The women that go with pedophiles usually do it because they are suffering from serious mental disorders as well. Perhaps they are paedophiles as well, but it could actually be a number of different things. Sometimes they are just brainwashed, and practically are victims themselves. It really depends.

all paedophiles should be shot its simple there is no excuse for what they do mentally ill or not, you only have to sit and think for a minute what those children must be going through and it makes you sick to the stomach as for the women who are with them same goes! er i feel ill thinking about it now.

The women should get the same sentance as the guy, but not all paedophiles are men some are women.

I think it could be any of the 3 treasons you mentioned. They are all plausible and it would be naive to think that some women are not into kiddy fiddling.

certainly are as bad, if i found out someone close to me was a paedophile, they wouldn't be breathing for long... women like this are weak, dependant personalities, who are just as dangerous as the vile non humans they shack up with.
