well it depends on the outfit, you should always choose a color that is eather 3 shades lighter than your star piece of the outfit (the piece you love the most) or have it 3 shades darker or if you are really daring choose a bright blood red!

You don't say if you are doing fingers or toes but why not go for a bright fire engine red. Red is a happy colour and parties are happy occasions. It also says "look at me". Great if you want to attract a possible date. good luck.

a blue, green, purple or yellow, you want to look good but in an awkward way, so that you don't upstage the host of that party!!

Get a french manicure. . you can never go wrong with that. . It always looks nice. Get a french pedicure to match too.
