At a year old, we would do 3/4 bottle formula, and 1/4 milk.
Then in a few days we would do 1/2 formula, 1/2 milk.
Then a few days later 1/4 formula, 3/4 milk.
And then all milk.
However, to avoid any constipation or pain, make sure your baby gets a full assortment of different foods. Good luck!

Gradually is best. You want to mix three parts formula or breastmilk to one part cow's milk in a bottle or sippy cup and give it any time you'd give formula or nurse. Once your child is used to the taste of the mixed milks, increase the cow's milk while decreasing the formula or breastmilk.

This won't happen overnight, be prepared for it to take a month or more.

We adopted our son so he was bottle fed, when the Dr. said it was okay to switch to whole milk, we simply used the rest of the formula we had and switched to milk without a weaning period. He didn't seem to even notice.

Breastfeeding is a different story though.

I switched one bottle (tippy cup) at a time. I started with her lunch feeding (cup). When I knew she could handle the milk, 3-4 days, I switched her morning cup for milk. Last, her night bottle. She transitioned to it quite well. Her day feedings of milk were about 4 ounces cold, with a food snack. Her night bottle was 8 ounces warmed.

We slowly started to introduce it, 1/4 whole milk and then 1/2 and so on. It worked out just fine. Good luck with whatever way you choose.

Most mothers I know are introducing goats milk instead of cows milk...........

Goat milk is as close to a perfect food as possible in nature. Its chemical structure is amazingly similar to mother's milk. It is a complete protein containing all the essential amino acids without the heavy fat content and catarrh producing materials of cow's milk.

Just make the switch. The stool may change for a bit until they are used to it.
Mine loved the taste and had no problems.
