Well, Like in my previous question I stated that me and Hubby Are trying to conceive. Well We have been having regular sex the past few weeks. I ovulate July 1st. Michael went away today for the week, {Some family problem} So the last day we tried was on June 27!
I heard that semen lasts in the female reproductive system for only a few days, but I heard somewhere else it was 7??!! Can anybody tell me the cold hard facts of life.. hahaha
But yea, I'm all confused and upset now, because that means we'll have to wait.. AGAIN!! If anybody has Information that would be helpful, PLEASE feel free to write it!!
Thank you

Now im starting to feel tired, and a little bit sick. Especially when Im driving. I have to pull over to vomit "sometimes its not that bad" Usually it starts at the same time and it comes and goes through out the day. Ive been noticing the changes the last few days. Im begining to think that we FINALLY did it. But I still have 2 weeks until my period "should NOT" come along.

I had two boys so I pre-planned my girl. I keep track of my cycles so I'd know when it was time to ovulate. I had sex 6 and 5 days before my ovulation so that the BOY sperms had a chance to die off, and only the GIRL ones would remain. I didn't do it after that at all. I don't know if it is a coincidence or not, but I found out at 8 weeks I was pregnant and she ended up being a girl!
I think you should relax because it is really a definite possibility that baby could be on the way!!!

My OB told me that sperm can survive for up to 5 days, but generally live about 2 days. I didn't always ovulate on the same day each month, so my OB advised me to have sex every other day from days 10-20 of my cycle. I have conceived 3 times using this method. If it doesn't happen this month, don't let it upset you. All things happen for a reason. I know how frustrating ttc is. It took me 3 months to conceive the first, 9 months for the second and 8 months for the third. Best of luck to you.

Sperm usually can live anywhere from 3 -5 days. This is only true if you have fertile quality cervical mucus as the time of intercourse. You must have either egg-white or watery cervical mucus. I am not sure if you check for this? Other cervical mucus types can be too hostile for the sperm to live. But yes, it is possible for you to get pregnant from having sex only a few days before you ovulate. They actually recommend starting to have sex about three or four days before you ovulate and then continuing to do up until the day after ovulation. This increases your chances greatly! Hope that helps! :]

I heard that sperm can live in the female body for around 5 days - so if you had sex on 27th then it sounds like you will be fine. It can all be so confusing though - one person seems to say one thing whilst another says something else. Lots of good luck to you

semen lasts for up to 5 days or longer in your body. this is a funny story about how i found this out for a fact!
my hubby and i had sex about a week before i had an gyn appt. and when they did my pap test my dr was like hey did you have sex yesterday?(you know bc you aren't supposed to do anything the night before) i was like we had sex a week ago!!!! she just giggled. so that's how i know those sperm are dedicated to fertilizing your egg!!!

No, you can't, but a sperm could survive and just be waiting for that ova to move down the Fallopian tube, so you're not out of the woods yet.

stress will always worsen the situation if your body is set in fight mode it will be less likely to perform normally. you can get pregnant while on your period. stop worrying yourself to death you can always try again.hope the doc checked both of you and you both are able to conceive if its that big of a concern
