adopting reservation in indian cricket team..?

why the inidan goverment is not adopting 27%for obc`s ,22.5%for sc,st`s and remainig for OCs in indian national sports...especially in cricket...

While Reservation per se is good idea for it to serve its intended purpose it is necessary to increase educational opportunities .If this is not done and allowed tostagnate at the current level, the reservation would lead to benefits exclusively to the socialy and econmically upper strata of thebackward classes and would not serve the purpose for which these measures wereintroduced in the first place. This would be more so. Unless adequate opportunitiesare made available tothebackward classes to come up in sports a mere percentge of their going would only lead to a mental satisfaction of having complied with the law would in no way enhance the efficiency of the Indian team n principle,therefore, the idea is quite O.K but could be implemented only after ensuring that adequate opportunities are made available to the backward classes for obtaining proficiency in sports./

Cricket is just a game, not an essential commodity in life like education,job or politics for which u need to give reservations to bring all sections of people into mainstream

As it is with the reservation deserving people are loosing chances and all inefficient people are getting jobs and also getting promoted superseding efficient people in the general category. If the same reservation policy is introduced in sports also that will be the end of sports in India.

I always thought, all the team members were from the reserve categories only and that is why we could not win world cup. I wish the team could be chosen on merits.
