It does help cramps. Most guys don't mind. Although some inexperienced or younger guys (like teenagers or guys who have never been with a woman during menstraution) will think it is gross.
As others have said it can get messy. Definatly put a towel under you.
Some women experience high libidos during this time because of the physical aspects.. Either you are wearing a tampon and therefore have something in your vagina all day, or you are wearing a pad and you can feel the blood which can act as your body's natural lube.
Most guys either really dont care or are more excited because of a fetish about it

Yes I would and do if its not a bad period. Sometimes the last thing on my mind is sex but hey, you cant just turn off your urges for sex just because you are on your period and yeah it can be messy but its usually the back end fo the period and anyway its with my man and as long as we're both OK with it there's no problem.
Sex during periods can be better than sex and no period!!!

No, it is not recommendable by the gyno, and also if you have pains it has nothing to do with the pleasure that sex should bring you. There is also a fact that there is a lot more possibility to get some infections because of hygiene that can not be kept at high level these days, so my advice would be to avoid intimacy these days. It is up to you, but think that blood, your pains and lack of your joy can make your partner feel not comfortable too. Regards!

I always let him know that I'm a wounded soldier before we get going. My boyfriend doesn't mind, and we make sure we put our special dark blue blanket down to protect the sheets.
Sex when I have bad cramps does ease them up a bit, so that's a bonus. As far as it being unhygenic or messy - that's what showers are for.

It's messy. And I always let my fiance know first, but he tends to be ok with it. Best not to use the newest sheets though. There is an increased risk of infection for unprotected sex if the woman is menstruating though, so protection when your on your period is always a good idea.

Some women say it helps with cramps, but for me, I can't do it until my cramps are over. It makes it worse for me. But My cramps usually only last the first day or 2 if I get them at all, so it's not so bad.

Sex with orgasm can help relieve cramps (It moves blood away from the really congested organs). Just put a towel or something on your bed so you don't ruin your sheets.

I know some girls that will and others that want. I mean it is messy but if you love that person then that shouldn't matter to you.

i've only had one partner, so at first, i didn't want to. it sort of embarrassed me, but my lover convinced me that he didn't mind. so yes, i will. i enjoyed it.
