Bio-Oil. Go to www.walgreens.com, it's about $12.00. You can also use it on your face and your skin will be SO soft. It's good to prevent new stretch marks and reduce the appearance of old ones, too.

I'm 34 wks and i'll even wake up at night having to itch my belly like crazy. This is my second and i have no stretch marks on my belly what so ever from either so far (i do have some light ones on my thighs though).
But what i do for the stretch marks is with every bath i put baby oil in it and after i lotion up really good with Johnson's moisturizing lotion and then i rub Palmer's Tummy Butter on me.
For the itching, every night before bed i found that putting hydrocortizone anti-itch cream works wonders, just a little bit is all you need just coat the parts of the belly that itch most and it should work. My doctor told me it's perfectly safe also.
I carry it in my purse with me cuz i will get these horrible itching spells!!!

I used tons of cocoa butter. After 4 pregnancies I only ended up with a few stretch marks and it wasn't until I had my last one that I got any. The cocoa butter relived the constant itching too. If you end up with stretch marks, Mederma works great.

Drink lots of water/fluids so that your body can moisturize itself from the inside out. It helps your skin to be more elastic and will reduce the chances of getting stretch marks. It also helps with constipation and ankle swelling! Using creams and lotions only helps the outer layer of the skin, you need to drink at least 12 glasses of water a day to make sure the skin grows and stretches properly!!

Belive it or not i weighed 100 lbs when i got pregnant, i then put on 70lbs for my pregnancy and the only thing that i used was Olay body wash with ribbons. It helped with everything even the itching. It keep my skin smooth and soft. That stuff works great. I have little to none stretch marks, and they are white, so you can't even see them. Hope it helps.

Palmers makes a great cocoa butter lotion designed for stretch marks. You're right, if you're prone to them, you'll get them no matter what. But this lotion keeps the belly moisturized for awhile.

Buy some Bio-oil. It costs about £8 from chemists and is recommended by the medical profession to reduce scarring caused by burns and accidents.
It is highly recommended for the reduction of stretch marks.
A friend of mine used it and couldn't speak highly enough of it.

Congradulations!!. I have also had 5 babies and on the 5th pregnancy, I had the same thing with the itching. My Dr said it was caused from hormones and he gave me the ok to take benedryl for it. Call your Dr and ask him what you shoould take. It goes away after delivery. My niece also had it but hers lasted after she delivered, so she had to take a cortisone shot for it.
