Nope.
5 years ago, I was 19 years old. I had recently gotten married. I thought I would be having kids around 24-46 years old. I was attending college, majoring in Computer Science.
Now? I'm 24 years old. I'm divorced and definitely cannot see myself having children at this point in my life. I completed my Computer Science degree, but after I've been in the work-force for a year, I'm rethinking what I actually want for a career (computer science isn't it!).
But that's life! We live, learn, grow, and change.

Nope. Everyone thought I'd be a writer, and so did I. I never thought I'd be studying computer science. Plus a lot of people I know have graduated and are glad they are done, but I'm going to grad school.
I don't think people really know where they're going to be and if a person ends up where they wanted to be in 5 years, more power to them.
I love looking back on how worried I was about what I was going to do in college. What major would I choose, and what the heck would I do after college? Now I'm not so worried. But 5 years from now, I'd like to have a career and a nice apartment.

Five years ago I just thought I would be working in a factory all my life making 9.00 an hour but I graduated nursing school in sept. 06' and am now working as a private nurse and fixing to start back to college in the fall to further my degree. Funny where life takes you.

good question...I was twenty back then & definitely no...I figured I'd probably be working in a bar still & partying all the time & staying out late...I had just met my future husband back then...but we settled down eventually, I got a good job with actual benefits, insurance, vacation time, & holiday pay (I'd never had that before!), we got married, bought a house, two dogs, & now trying to start a family! weird how things work out huh?

Interesting, accounting looms in my future too, after working in teaching/tutoring eons. But finance has run in my family for five generations. Actually things are looking pretty bright now that you mentioned it compared to five years ago. Except I'm five blooody years older. Yeah, had to remind me. boo hoo. Cheers!! See you on the flip side!

Short answer.... Nup.
Happy where the twists and turns of life have taken me though. In hindsight, I often think about major situations I found myself in and think.... what if I chose to do this, instead of the path I took.
Like the old "fork in the road" .... I remember the scene clearly from one of The Muppets Movies.
Well, that's me anyway. :)

I thought I would be living in my own flat (apartment) by now. Instead, I have to rent it out because I can't afford to live in it and live in the staff block of the hotel I work at!
