Murder is a dirty thing.
As for Dame Agatha: Everyone to the drawing room while I solve the case is not realistic. Heck, other than readers of those stories who knows what a drawing room is?)
As for Sir Doyle: The science is dated. Although Holmes's using it was, at the time a great innovation. It is still too British and Monarchist for my taste.
Although it is dated, I prefer Chandler. At least the murder is not always Lord so-so. Murder is dirty.
