Some of my favourites (in terms of films that stay with you longer than the 90 minutes it takes to watch them!)

Animal Factory, The Legend Of Nineteen Hundred, Don't Tell Her It's Me, Confessions Of A Troubled Mind, A Box Of Moon Light, Jerry And Tom, Training Day, King Of The Ants- if you really like violence. I know that some of these will appeal to you more than others.

Try Garden State. Also Napoleon Dynamite. The Departed is a good one, especially if you liked Bourne Identity. The Last Samurai is quite a good one if you liked Hero, although it's not subtitled, it's quite respectfully done (not your normal Westerners riding in and changing all the ways of a traditional village).

VACANCY
PARADISE LOST
SHREK THE THIRD
THE LAST MIMZY
28 WEEKS LATER
i have seen all these and can recommend them all, only problem is 28 weeks later isnt as good as 28 days later, the storyline is weak and kinda pointless but has plenty of gore and action and will satisfy most fans of 28 days later (except me, was well gutted wi its lack of story)
vacancy is a righ corker! kept me on edge of seat till end 10 outts 10 for that one.
paradise lost, brill storyline, wicked violence and gore, the charictures go through an horrific storyline and only 2 live to tell the tale.... go watch this one now.
the last mimzy is family/kids but has that warmhearted good feeling to it, kinda a scifi fushion adventure.
shrek the third.... need i say more, funny and good follow on the 1 & 2
if you like war.... try when trumpets fade on dvd.
if you want classic go for......
war of the worlds, newer remake wi tom cruise good all rounder, action, scifi, horror-ish (people die ok) love (his love for his kids) and the great human race defeating a massive threat against all odd...... far fetched but hey its fantasy and we love it.
lol, happy watching what ever you choose.
