What's up with all of the 'U's? A clear, mucous discharge is part of the normal maintenance exhibited by a mature vagina. It doesn't necessarily mean you will get your period but you are closer. You can establish what point a woman is in her cycle by the thickness of her mucoid discharge. I am not a woman, but I hope you find my answer useful.
Addendum: Women do not have prostate glands.

Imagine you vagina was a dishwasher. Luckily your "dishwasher" has an auto-clean. The discharge you are describing is vaginal secretion that is meant to clean your inner walls and protect your cervix. After which, the secretion is expelled out of your body and on to your undies. It's totally normal and every girl gets it. It doesn't necessarily mean you will have your period, just that you're clean.

Yea, but it could be soon, could be in about a year. I had that for about a year then I got my period....when I first got it I asked my doc. and she said that you can have it 6 months to a year before your period.

No its is just a normal discharge that girls have from time to time.
YOu period will arrive when its ready to and not before.
Dont rush these things. You will wish that you never got them when they arrive.

women have discharge all the time and it is different at different times of the month. clear is usually when a woman is ovulating. if it bothers you wear a panty liner

Completely normal. You get this before you get a period. It it your body's way of cleaning itself. (Your period will come when your body is ready--and not before)
