She just lisped. But my most memorable moment was when she was two and a half. She was counting for me. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. She thinks for a moment and then rather perturbed, says "What happened to four?" LOL.
Edited to add: Light blub, that's cute.

The five year old has given us two...that we still use her way even though she knows the difference.
Napkin - Wrapkin
Butterfly- BLutterfly (really hard to say)
The same child says hello to dragonflies with this phonetically spelled phrase -
"O-cee-O, Su-Sway-She"....that is hello in Cherokee (oceeo) and dragonfly (suswayshe) in Algonquin.

My five year old has come out with some great ones. He made 'kerfuffle' in cooking club - he meant falafel. He loves scapetti (spaghetti), and likes nothing more than going to the park to feed the squibbles (squirrels). Bless him :o)

My daughter had problems with pasta words: she used to eat "macanoni and cheese" and "skabetti" with meatballs.
We would visit gardens near our house. They had gazebos. She called the gazebo (and I wrote it down to make sure I didn't forget) a "zigee-bee-bo."
And I still never figured out why she called coins "coinker" when she was about two.
My wife reminded me that yogurt came out with no y sound ("ogurt") and that "huge" came out with a hard "k" sound instead of the "h", so it sounded like "kyooge."

Wow- there have been some gems from both of my goofies. Current fave is when my 6 y/o tells me about hearts "beeping." (beating). I'll take beeping hearts over vehicle horns any day!

It was not mispronunciation.
My daughter was either pronouncing perfectly correct, or saying a completely different word.
For example when she wanted to say "cinema", it was "kukuvachos".
I took me one month to understand what she meant.....

My daughter is in that phase now(she is 2) and some of the things she says cracks me up. One of my favorite's right now has to be hippohamas for hippopotamus. She also walks around and points to herself and say's " I Caya" her name is Cayla. Too cute.
