One of my favorite excuses some wrestling fan gave went something like:
Well he was a good family guy and excellent wrestler and if he killed them I'm sure he had a good reason and I still love him. WTF???

I completely agree. I mean i respect him for what he did for his profession and all, but i just have no sympathy for somebody that not only kills innocent people but an innocent WOMAN AND CHILD, let alone his OWN WIFE AND CHILD!!! Anybody that does that is a monster in my book. And Vince McMahon and all the other people that immediately started praising Benoit without taking time to find out what the real story was all look like complete idiots. I mean, Vince McMahon basically celebrated the life of a murderer.

No, they won't say that. But you are right that they will defend him. Prior to the murders, he was their hero. People do not give up on their heroes that easily. That is why so many people still like the President, and look how many people he has killed.
I think it is funny that some people say stuff like "IF he did it" and "the evidence does not add up." This kind of murder is very common, unfortunately, and the evidence in this murder fits the characteristics of a family guy murder/suicide to the letter. There is nothing weird about it. How do I know? I've worked in victim services for seven years, and the police have come right out and said they are more or less positive. For those hoping it will all turn out to be a mistake, I'm afraid they are in for a sad surprise.

Wrestling is a scripted TV show, just like soap operas. There are characters who are, in most cases, nothing like the people who portray them. I for one, am a fan of the character and in-ring performer, Chris Benoit. With the recent tragedy, I am obviously not a fan of the person, Chris Benoit.

A lot of folks will not take the time to read and understand your question, it's rather confusing.
I think Benoit is sad. He's NO hero.
Now I don't like the fake macho world of wrestling. But if someone I did love killed his wife and child? I would find it sad (mental problems?) and SICK. Benoit was not retarded. He was smart enough to totally know what he was doing. While we can blame others for missing his sickness or pushing him too hard...ULTIMATELY it was HE who did this. If you don't blame him, then what murderer can we blame? Scott Peterson wanted to date other women, he didn't want kids, he had money problems. Wahhh. OJ was jealous even though he was dating other women. Wahhhhh You don't KILL someone to get out of a marriage! You don't kill your baby to...anything!

Im sure everyone have their own views on this matter. For me, I prefer to see Benoit as a professional wrestler, a true sportsman the world has witnessed. Like what the others say, we can't judge a person based on just 1 action esp when Benoit was very unstable prior to death.
Rest in peace canadian crippler...

What a bunch of asshats. I don't care what Benoit was like in the ring, what he used to be like, or what he could have been like...he is a MURDERER and I am sorry but in my books that makes him crap!

I wouldn't be suprised. The one that gets me is Stephanie on the tribute show. She was saying what a great family man he was. She looks like an idiot and a fool.
