If you could choose one of the following:
have a boring low pay job that makes you really annoyed, but because you have money then you can get a girlfriend, or, not have to go to work so you're really happy but you have no money so you can't have a girlfriend? Which would make you happier? It seems that either way you're gonna not be completely happy.

I love not having to work, living off savings, the idea of going to do a common job is like prison in my opinion, but I would need a job to have more money so I can afford to go out & have a gf. Not big spending just general.

What I meant was not to "buy" a gf, but that you need money to go out places with her.

If those are your only two options in life i'd say quit your job and jump off a building.

Then how about a third way? you have a
boring job but u do have money so u can eat, no gir to start a relationship with and eventually get bored any way so you just may wanna cheat on her but at least u can cheat on a full stomache, cause you have money but the girl your cheating with takes u 4 all your money and then dumps you.

and so u go back to your boring job make more money but can't eat cause you got played 4 a fool, and your anxiety level is to the sky. so u call in to work sick and find you've been fired for not coming in in the first place . . .

get the point? either way your not gonna be happier or you? . . .

don't u just love philosophy? lmao . . .

That raises lots more questions. For one, do you work to live or live to work?
If your job is important to you, it is better to have a good job. But would that mean you'd have to sacrifice a love life? If I were with a girl who just wanted someone with money that wouldn't make me happy at all.
And, would you be really happy if you didn't work? If nothing else, I'd have a job to fill my time. If you had no money how would you afford to do fun things to fill up your plentyfull amount of free time?
And really, how much day time TV can you actually handle without going nutz???
Think this question is a judgement call me hearty!

i agree that you won't really be completely happy, because first, you don't need to have a job to get a girlfriend. girls are meant to be courted and wooed, they're not for sale displayed on some cheap stores. i would choose to find a job that is suitable for me, and it doesn't have to be a big-paying job because i would want to earn money the hard way and then just sit around when i'm really successful and rich and all that jazz. but i'm not going to just work on a job that's boring and not up to my interests. and then i will go soeplace where i might meet some interesting guys and then we'll see. . . please don't think that girls can be bought. we're not. but it would please us if you'd try to better your life by getting a job, for starters. god bless

Well if you have to choose go with having a job & gf. As catch 22 as it may sound having a job at least will make you stay busy and earn money.

hey you're going on the assumption that in order to have a g/f you need a job and that's only an assumption. it's also amazing that most people who have jobs and partners are not happy!!

at the end of the day happiness, just like money - you've either got or you haven't

young people enjoy youth . you need neither money nor a job to have Friends............but this a very tough world a grown man needs a skill to carry him through good times and bad don't be fooled by white noise when your older you will be glad you spent a lot of your youth learning something as boring as a life skill and that's the time you'll wish you had a girlfriend

Hey Dude,

Money doesn't buy happiness or love...
........time does!

You don't need a cinema ticket or restaurant booking to get to know each other....

You simply need to get to know each other through conversation...& conversation is both priceless and placeless :-)

Another point, your assuming the man pays for everything? Thats very generous of you! However, I see that as a little selfish on the womans behalf! If she is making you pay, you might want to concider whether she is worthy of your love!

Cheers!
