Since there are more than one people referred to as Indian I must believe that since you have omitted the word American Indians that you speak of India Indians.

You should have little problem with this one. Just look toward Mexico and southward. The Aztec calendar is still accurate today and is considered a mathematical marvel.
Consider researching the Aztecs and the Incas. You will find some amazing work that they did that required complex mathematical computations.
