Because they can not argue against her logic. She absolutely rips them apart in debate, and they can't stand that. She uses common sense and facts and they use lies and innuendo. Right is Right. Read Ann's column today. Funny, it's about Lizzy and John Edwards.
Edit: You see my point about the liberal argument. They can all watch the clip if they chose, but they don't want the truth, and they have the nerve to talk about Ann being divisive.

I have also watched the clip and what I saw was Coulter comparing the outcry over her saying someone should assassinate John Edwards, but no corresponding outcry when Bill Maher talked about a bloggers comments over Cheney getting assassinated.
Is this comment of Coulter's taken out of context? The link also has the actual video of her saying it:

How about this?

Are you getting the point yet? Ann Coulter adds nothing to the National Debate on any issue, her obsessive homophobia (as well as the fact she has no children or husband of her own, yet spends most of her time accusing others who ARE married with children of homosexuality [even BILL CLINTON is gay, according to Ann])
We don't need the baseless hate and fear anymore; we've had that for 7 years and any thinking mature person HAS to be about done with it by now. We need ANSWERS, not accusations, not the same old "If you knew better why didnt you stop us" buck passing Republicans have turned into a high artform.
"Opinion" is not blind hatred; that, like "Terror", is an emotional state of being, not an "opinion". Opinions come about when the person interested researches facts, statisitics, experts' (who know what theyre talking about) opinions, etc.
Namecalling ("Burp Tea"- and you REALLY dont see how childish you appear, do you), denial, hate and fear of someone not exactly like you, doesnt change the facts, nor do they change opinions. All they can do is distract, like a clown at the circus, mildly amusing, but completely forgotten by the time the show is over.
And distraction is the name of the game for Cons these days. Do nothing for 6 years, then as soon as the American People fire them for not earning their pay, they come back with, "The day after the mid term elections and Dems ALREADY have a 17% Approval rating (I mean, even though its actually still OUR approval rating)! They suck! Lets fire them all!"
The New Republican Campaign Slogan:
"Fix the Blame, Not the Problem"

There is more than ample evidence to prove that Bill O'Reilly lies on his show on a regular basis.
The point everyone is making about Ann Coulter is that she makes a lot of outrageous, divisive comments that do nothing other than keep Americans divided while spurring her book sales. The terrorists want us to be a divided nation so it's fair to argue that her comments do more to help them then they do to help America.
Are people like Rosie O'Donnell guilty of divisive, irresponsible rhetoric as well? Sure, but that doesn't excuse Ann Coulter's comments.
We need to stop pointing fingers and start discussing the issues that affect us all.

Coulter did say "we should nuke Canada" when ask why she said that she said "they did send troops to Viet Nam", not Iraq. Coulter was proven a liar, Canada never sent troops to Viet Nam. She also said John Edwards had a bumper sticker that said "ask me about my dead Son." That was why Elizabeth Edwards called her on the Cris Mathews show and put her in her place, told her to shut up with the hate mongering.. She also called Bill Clinton a Homo and John Edwards was refered to as "a *****". Coulter is making money off Idiots who are into "shock Jock" reporting as being Kewl. She has also been proven to be a liar many times and she steals her work from others. Also she has had problems when she got caught not paying her property taxes.. No, I do not watch O'Reilly.. Why would anyone waste time on a Conservative bias "Shock Jock " show? BTW, you do know Coulter is a man ,, right?

Ann Coulter doesn't really care about Conservative politics or Conservative values. She cares about making sure that her name stays in the news, that people buy her books, and that people take her seriously. She is an *entertainment celebrity*, not an actual political scientist or commentator. Her statements have the same weight as, and should taken in the same context as, statements made by any other Hollywood celebrity such as Alec Baldwin.

The comment she made about Bill Maher was a lie. That's a good reason not to repeat it. It added no "context". She still said she wished John Edwards was killed by a terrorist.
Here is the source for Ann's lie about Maher; he was discussing whether a comment made by a blogger, should have been removed from the Huffingtonpost.
" Maher and his guests... debated the removal of comments from the HuffingtonPost Web log praising the idea of Cheney being assassinated. ... Maher asked the panelists whether it was wrong for blog host Arianna Huffington to remove the comments... Quoting the blog, Maher said, "I have zero doubt that if Dick Cheney was not in power, people wouldn’t be dying needlessly tomorrow."
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,256650,00.html
So claiming that Maher said Cheney should die is the same thing as saying Bill O'Reilly said Edwards should be assassinated. Both hosts were discussing the comments of others.

And you are defending her? Why ? Actually she DID say these things and admitted LIVE on Chris Mathew's show when Ms Edwards called to talk to her. Ms Coulter is a sad case of someone who hates her self, her life and what she has become. - Her despicable speech is only a projection of her own contempt for herself.

You should know by now that the agenda is to silence the right. Distortion in the media has been used for years to make people look foolish who don't agree politically with their viewpoint. Is it any wonder why Fox has done so well especially among the conservatives? For once, a viewpoint that agrees with theirs. It's also why the left hates Fox. They can't stand anything that contradicts them or holds them accountable.

This is not the first time, she has made uneducated and ignorant comments. I have heard from her own mouth calling Edwards the F-word. I think your the only one being lied to.

Regardless of her comments being taken out of context and I am fully aware that they were, the woman is still a shrill harpee who contributes nothing but hatred to political discourse. She rants and raves like a lunatic and rarely makes sense, she is full of hate and anger for the opposite side. Anyone who believes firmly that their party and only their party is the right party is not playing with a full deck.
Things are taken out of context all the time, John Kerry and his speech about the troops being dumb for example.
