You can't "make" him do anything but you can talk with him and explain that a relationship is a team effort and if both people work outside the home, then both need to help take care of things AT home.

Well I naturally enjoy cleaning because I own a housekeeping business, not that doesnt mean that my guy shouldnt help! ( i mean he is the PD for a landscaping company and we have the ugliest yard in the hood) So I tell him he needs to make the bed in the monring and change the sheets once a week. He needs to vacuum upstairs and keep the master bath clean. It takes atotal of 45 mins a week. I do all the laundry b/c Im like obbsessed with super clean great smelling clothes........so if he fials to do his share then he gets no laundry. I make sure I do all mine first. I'll even wash the beagle's bed first before his clothes.
Just let your husband know that it's not fair that he isnt pitching in and helping. Houses arent easy to keep clean and organized....that's why so many people have housekeeps. I mean even stay at home women that are childless need help because there is so much to do. Just point out all the other things that you have to do in the marriage (Ex... pay the bills..that takes a lot of time, gets kids ready, make dinner, walk the pets, laundry, ect.) and it would really take a load off and make things much smoother and faster if he would put in his part! Good Luck sweetie! men are so hard headed when it comes to this.

Look after what in your home? If you are talking about the daily cleaning and chores, good luck. If you thought you married a handy man and he's not, again good luck. What do you think he should be doing?

Honest answer, you really cant make him do anything. you can ask him if he would help you with what needs done. Or you can make a list and divvy up, good luck though, i tried this with my husband and i think he screwed it all up on purpose so i dont ask him to do anything anymore

Was he into the tediousness of house keeping when you first met him? If not, why would he be stoked about it now. Might be better to adjust your expectations rather than advocate for the impossible.
