If you are using WMP - you can use the RIP function to take tracks off CDs - if you are online it will offer you to go to a site which finds the name of the album and automatically names the tracks.
Once ripped - you can adjust the track information within WMP (it will adjust the tags in the file saved on your laptop) or go to the file (MP3) which has been created - right click it & go to Properties, Summary (advanced) - you can change all the info there if you wish!

The majority of media players have a rip function - have a look at the settings for ripping though - you can select things like filetype to save to, where to save, format to use for name, site to use to get media info etc.

iPods are super. must be a reason whilst they are merchandising interior the 10s of tens of millions. Your iPod purposes maximum suitable (and maximum reliably) in iTunes. basically rip your CDs in iTunes using your selected format (i choose to propose 128 kbps AAC with VBR for a Nano through area mark downs) and your iPod could do something. Songs won't in any respect be lost continuously if the battery dies in case you utilize iTunes (new Nanos have extra effective than 24 hours of life besides). Be careful of one/3 social gathering utility that updates your iPod like a puzzling disk. in the adventure that your iPod dies then or (god forbid) gets stolen, you will would desire to tear your CDs from the commencing up. Cheers.
