There's a number of things to me that would define a strong relationship. The ability to communicate well, trust, a true commitment to each other, sharing some common interests, respect, I believe everything should be 50/50. If things get tough, the couple needs to be able and willing to sit and talk their problems through, not arue and fight. A night or two out alone each week is good, (date night) and planning a week-end getaway to keep the romance going is essential. A week isn't bad either.
