Since they burn the trees that provide us with oxygen, I suggest we should keep those arsonists in a room without oxygen and observe their reaction.... Apart from the trees, 150 wild deers were burnt alive (!) for god's sake!
Politicians dont give a sh!t, they are all corrupted b@stards. But they are the ones who will build lux villas at those burnt mountains, right?

I believe that the punishement these arsonists should recieve should be equal to the punishement they would recieve if they were being charged with murder, for as far as i know, up to now 12 men have lost their lives to this catastrophe. I really hope these m*l*kes are caught and their lives be made as miserable as is humanly possible, so that the gravity of their actions really hits them, for not only have they destroyed a beautiful natural forest, but they have also impared the quality of life of all the Athenians, as the forest prevents floods in the winter and removes smogg clouds from above our city, creating a wonderful place for us to live. These sick people have ruined millions of lives and ended a dozen. I hope they really understand their actions, and if karme does right by the Greeks, those horribly 'human's' lives will never be the same again.

it's a really pity that Parnitha is in fire.. I live in N.Filladelphia and last night i could see the flames and the ashes were all over.
of course no one will be caught, as usual.. no one ever has.
these criminals only want to show the Greeks that the government hadn't been ready for something like this. and finally it will be accused for this disaster.
(remember that we are going to vote in a few months)
who ever did this(and all of the people in athens), now has to deal with the problems that will be caused. Before a few days the temperature was 47 degrees. after that it will be very usual to reach temperatures like that more and more often. what about the floods?
And the summer is not over yet.
i wish these were the last trees burned. a burned forest is not something that only Greeks should care for. it's about the whole planet.

I am a pacifist, but in the case of arsonists I always see red, especially when their actions lead to this sort of destruction. The only way they should be dealt with is the same way they treat the trees, animals, people and nature in general. They set fires, fires should be set upon them.

Forest fires were started by kurds at 355 different points in antalya last week. I would say the appropriate punishment for these beings but then I would be called an oppressive villain for that. Hope we will be able to put out these fires in our very lungs.

I am against death penalty and torture. I have signed many petitions against these cruel practices. But in this case, I believe they should die with the worst torture ever, like being cut to pieces or burnt alive, like they do to thousands of animals, trees and the rest of us, who suffer from the forest loss for centuries afterwards.
As for politicians, what did you expect after the change of laws and the Constitution earlier this year, which allow for every area that has - no longer - trees to be de-classified from being a forest? All ecological groups expected these fires these years. And the politicians could have prevented it, by sending petroles in the forests, planes to supervise them, basically the army we have for decorative reasons (to show our neighbours that if they invade someone will be there to notice) could pe put to use, but NO!!!

I remember the great forest fire in north Cyprus in June 1995. I was crying with pain. Everybody knows it was not an accident.
People who know me, know that I am against violence and torture. But during that great fire, I cursed those arsonists. I said "I hope they burn both in this world and in hell too". I would like to see them suffer the worst disease. Because they are murderers. They are thieves. They stole our world, our oxygen, our beautiful trees and animals. And now I learned that there is a great forest fire in south Cyprus, on the southern slopes of Troodos mountains. Destroying those beautiful vinyards and orchards, destroying people's homes.

Their punishment/The hardest.for ever in jail..
It is due to all the new rich who want to bult villas, as if they had them since they born, not thinking of every creature living inside the forsts, of the trees, planys, animals..
We dont know where they are from, and in reality i dont care, the result is the important.
When after years they will not be able to brath neither tjeir families, nor them, when the water of the rain will enter in their houses, lets see who they are going to accuse...
Everything for the money or the revenge...Your death...my life as they think...
May i know why in these difficult time you put your personal feelings against me and Mustafa by putting thumbs down?
Mustafa is a person who has always been near us and supported our section...

They should be sentenced to planting trees, one day for every tree they destroyed. That might make them think again. But they're never caught are they?
