Are they gonna be the same in the next 80-200 years, with the way young people are these days, are they going to be all tighty and those leather shoes and business man type clothes, or will old people in the future be much different?

There will be 'old' as in poor unable to afford the surgeries avaible to defy aging and the 'eternally young,' those who can afford a new body part, a skin transplant, etc - - - you'll be in a singles bar gloming on a hot chick and be amazed at her knowledge about the decade of the double zero and realize she is seventy years older than you and you are still sporting a woody!!

The term 'old' may even vannish replaced by 'worn outs' and rejuvenatives..

Peace...

Young people of today, please remember that as you ( I mean YOU) get older there will be the usual tussle between the mind ( young forever) and the body ( programmed to age). If your mind wins over the body you may continue to be as you were when you were young. . Those leather shoes and the rings and the tights etc. But , at that time the new young would be differently dressed. If your body gives in you lose interest in everything and you simply do what seems best .

Different, if for no other reason than getting old will take longer. People will have a longer life expectancy than ever before, therefore their outlook at 70 or 80 will be one of middle age rather than old age.

Now, what you guys decide to do with those years will be up to you.

Our world never ceases to amaze.
We have come ahead in so many things.
We can get transplants that replace our lungs, hearts, kidneys etc.
We can change the way we look and feel.
Who knows in the next 200 years we might have the choice of living or dying. We may be able to be rebuilt.
We may never get old.
It may seem unbelievable now...but think about it ....we were amazed with the micro wave and computers etc. So the skies the limit!

I'm 63, got a handlebar mustache, wear a fashionable hat and have hair longer than shoulder-length. Wear a concho belt, levi vest, snazzy boots.

You saying I'm not fashionable?

I do notice when I look around me that a lot of people my age don't look as spiffy as I do. Young people, either.

But, in answer to your question, I think in the eyes of young people, old people will always appear to be fuddy duddies, will never dress up to code.

There will always be "old people" looking back on their youth, remembering the good ole days, and thinking that life was better/simpler back then.

"Why when I was a kid, I only ever dreamed of taking a vacation to the moon! Now quit complaining, you ungrateful brats!"--me as an old lady.

So far, they haven't really changed in the last 2000 years. I don't see a fundamental difference coming any time soon.

Well if you based your observatons from the old people of today, it will be incredibly different. Remember, the old guys of today survived a war, their main reason for their lack of fashion sense and humor.

I give this a star because I have often wondered this myself.

That depends on, how would you be, when old; as one day not far away, you too would be one of our elders.
