Has anyone decide that they should change their political party affliation? If you have, why? I recently changed mine and am interested in how other Americans feel concerning what is going on in our government.

It really doesn't matter since in the voting booth you can pull whatever levers you want (or whatever other method of voting you use). The only "advantage" of being registered into a party
is to vote in their primaries, to receive all their political views or propaganda and the "opportunity" to support them financially.
It's hard to tell anymore the difference between the good guys and the bad guys. Recently I was very disappointed in both my Senators vote on "S1639", the illegals' amnesty Bill. I'm thinking about registering as an Independent or another 3rd party choice.

i have been a democrat. george w and the unfailing support of his party ruined us. the rhetoric and 9-11 references they used to push war resolutions through destroyed any faith in political parties. i think they should be abolished. there is too much focus on what we 'are' not what we are (or are not) doing. political parties cannot save us, but voting for someone with a brain may be able to. we cannot trust the campaign promises, so everyone must watch and research every candidate and pray together we make the right choice. let us hope the war mongering will soon be over and america's concerns can come back to america...and bring our soldiers home with it.

If I were to change my party affiliation, it would be to Libertarian because both parties have abandoned the platforms they claim to stand for in order to woo the so called moderate vote.

Issues that have profound effects upon us all have become so politicized resolution is near impossible. You can't be a Republican environmentalist. You can't be a pro-life Democrat. Both parties claim certain key issues as "their own" and refuse any effort of the other party towards resolution for fear of losing political clout.

No need. I vote for the best candidate, and yes, sometimes that means somebody outside my affiliation...sometimes Green or Independent, or other options.

Yes I am now a independent. I'm sick of Democrats and Republicans screwing up this country.
