Um they have become purely a symbolic representation of Britains past. Some poeple hold on to them coz of these traditional ties, however there are an increasingly growing crowd that seem to realise they dont contribute much to society these days. One day they will be removed i believe

I am strongly in favour of keeping the Monarchy...why fix something that isn't bust. There was a report on the Queen's finances yesterday and it turns out that each tax payer in the country pays the princely sum of 62p a year towards the civil list...hardly a fortune is it when compared with the millions that the Royal Estates pay to the treasury....besides, have you any idea how much we pay to keep unelected officials in the EU in the lap of luxury...a damn sight more than we pay for the upkeep of our Monarchy that's for sure...and also if you weren't aware of it, the Royal family pay tax as well as we do and it was actually Her Majesty who instigated this.

I was just thinking the other day on why they are treated so special still. Kings and Queens are a thing from the past. What would all the people who are of a higher status, based solely on money, do, if the majority of us who are not of this status, left to serve them, just up and quit? Stop treating people like they are so important because they are rich. Because they think less of us and yet they want us to serve their needs. Strange how we hold people like that up in a spotlight to be admired and even worshiped while people that really work hard or important real life jobs are given low pay for their hard work.

Fairytales belong in a book. Really what is it? Royalty is nothing more than the seed of prejudice and classification. God created us all equal... apparently not. Oh my all these dumb people saying save the queen. Save yourselves first. There are fools promoting this crap a paying for the fantasy. Royals live a lavish life on the sweat of "commoners". What makes you royal I ask you? Blood...We all have blood..and its red for both you and I.
