Thank-you for your question but I'm sorry that I can't give you the answer you are looking for. Neither are hard for me as they come out naturally and effusively.

I'm Canadian so like many of my countrymen, we use these words a lot - but don't think that that makes us soft.

We as a culture and me as an individual assume friendship and politeness first but if you cross check me into the boards too hard, I'm gonna drop my gloves.

The hardest thing for me is to shut up - Sorry for the blathering I'll shut up now. Thanks. ;)

sorry is hardest, if you are a man both men and women will disrespect you for this. i may not agree with this, not ideally anyway, but it is still the hardest. and last time i said it to someone they were too small of a person to accept it anyway, and it's not like i did this person dirty, it was just a difference of opinion that turned into mutual disrespect. but hey i'll play dumb, and go along with it , why not? it's funny that all it takes is a little sleigh of hand and and the mask falls from their face and you see them clearly, and they don't even realize it. since when do C.O.'s where police hats anyway? what a joke. so, anyway, saying thank you is alot nicer. it feels good and it usually makes the other person feel good as well, unless they have a god complex.

Neither. I am very respectful. I say Thank You whenever it's needed, and I have no probably admitting I am wrong. So if I need to, I will say sorry. Especially when I walk into someone, or step on their toes and stuff. I really don't see why it's so hard for people to say Thank You when you hold a door open for them or something. Man, people really Are ignorant these days :P

I'm likely the oddball here, but for me, "Thank you" is a more difficult phrase. Not that it is harder in all circumstances, but I have a general difficulty in accepting compliments. Call it an esteem issue.

To the contrast, saying "Sorry" is not a problem for me. That too is partially related to esteem issues, but I find that whenever I genuinely err with someone, a statement of regret is natural for me.

It's sort of a one-sided honesty for me, mainly from the pessimistic point-of-view in regard to myself. That is something that I need to bring into proper balance.

Neither are hard for me to say...i hate depending on people for anything so i don't ask anyone for anything...and the thank you's are rare...i don't go out to purposely hurt others so the sorry's are rare as well

Sorry is always the hardest for me. When I have to say that it means I hurt someone. I don't like that feeling.

None. I say both when appropriate. You have reminded me when I was cross I said to my darling: I apologise but I'm NOT sorry!!!!

Haha.. ;-p
