In nature everything has a place no matter how ugly it may appear to the human eye.The mosquito provides a source of food for a variety of fish,amphibians,and birds as well as the larva.True to it's form as being a pest,it also weeds out the weaker host with the pathogens it may carry.

Besides of making our life a bit miserable...the roll is as a middle food in the echosystem of the life of fish, frogs, iguanas, and other reptiles......
Very many viruses are transmitted by them and they close the cycle as vectors for the survival of them (Flavivirus, adenovirus etc)...
I cant think of anything else right now...

they help keep the ecosystem stable.. Everytime they suck our blood, they release liquids which could help in blood-clotting especially on our wounds (not to mention those "bad substances" that they release)...
