He is not a person who go for brands... and i couldn't figure out if there is anything he actually likes or need to have in near future.

There is this bed and breakfast I know of where the owner is also a massage therapist. Now, you may not have that in your area, but I personally have always wanted to get a massage with my signifigant other...too bad I don't have one! After the massage, you take a long nap together and when you wake up, kiss his forehead and tell him "Baby, I love you and have for as long as I can remember. I gotcha something..."
That something could be bug spray but he'll love it because he just had a badass massage with his wifey and a smokin' nap, too.

Give him something he will always remember.... Your his wife... set up a romantic hotel room with the candles and the hot oils and the bubble bath.... bring your music and go find the sexiiest lingre' you feels most defined and secure in and put on a strip tease or a dance for him.....
He will never 4-get it.....
spice it up baby.... this will beat any gift you will ever give him...oh and don't 4-get to where a bow :)

It's hard to some up with gift ideas if he doesn't seem to want anything. In this case I would suggest something personalized to show your love, perhaps a wallet, or something wacky like an arcade video game.

Take him on a secret holiday to south india if you are in india, if not in india then to a good place where you both can have a nice time. Write him a letter and place it in his pants when he is sleeping. Make it romantic for him rather than spending a few bucks on some gadget that mite get out of fashion before the next full moon. And hey, if u r in india by any chance, take him to Orange County...... it is worth it... those tents by the river.... you dont know wat u mite be missing!!!

You can always get him a nice ratchet set, or some new tires. Or get him a gift certificate to his favorite restaurant! You could also just put a bow on your head and tell him it's time to open his gift! That's a winner every time.

How about custom made (by you) gift certificates for things like a back rub, doing something he normally does which he'd rather not have to do, adult night, his share of the chores for a day, etc. ?

If he is a person who needs stuff then I guess you need to buy him something. You didn't say what he is interested in. I don't need things from my wife. Her just being there is more than enough for me. Cook his favorite meal and some great. You know.
