Hi Joanna,
Over the years I have had heaps of flat battery's. Go and jump start your car then take it for at least a 20 min drive. That will give it time enough for it to charge the battery.

Don't worry you haven't caused no harm to your battery. The only thing you have to watch out for is when your battery is gets old it will no longer hold it's charge then you have to replace it.

Well you have got to get the battery charged again, either by starting the car with a jump and keeping the car running long enough to put some charge in the battery,or you will have to connect a battery charger to the battery in the car. If you can't get the car close enough you might have to disconnect the battery and take it indoors to a charger. The risk is that with no electricity on the car the coding to your key and locks may be lost and you would not be able to lock doors electronically land you might have ignition key problems. My advice would be to get a jump start and go for a couple of hours run without stopping the engine. All should be OK then.

you should have someone to give you a jump. after you get it started you should take it for a drive on the freeway or around town , somewhere you will not turn it off for a while) so that the battery has time to recharge. the battery can not charge while just sitting there unless you have or buy a battery charger. you can find them at most Kragen's. Auto Zone's and All Part auto supplies. They range in Price, between $69.00- $179.99 Happy Trails and don't forget to turn off radio and remove keys from ignition. LOL

Jump starting the battery shouldn't do any damage if done properly.

Once it is up and running, make sure you drive for a while, to allow the battery to recharge.

The only thing you might have a problem with is if the battery is elderly, it might not hold a charge.

My suggestion : get AA membership. I have had it for three years and they've been out to me five times to jump my car (and I've done it myself twice too!) The fees are cheaper in the UK than here in Germany and inmy opinion it is forty pounds well spent!

No. If you jump start it , it will charge it self after a short drive. 10 or 15 mi. and you'll be fine. No damage.
If you leave the key on for a few days it may be a little hard to jump start. May have to leave the cables on a little longer before trying to start it. Give it a chance to recharge from the other battery.

Sometimes once a car battery has been flattened - especially when its happened very slowly and gradually like that - it will not hold a charge anymore. It might be okay, but after you've jump started it, make sure you go for a longish drive without lights etc on, to give the alternator a chance to charge it a bit. Try to avoid short runs and just see how it goes. If it was me though, I'd get a new one just for the sake of peace of mind; they're not THAT expensive.

Jump starting it won't harm it - you will just need to give it a bit of a run to charge the battery properly. Half an hours run - or pop battery on a charger.

Leaving it a couple of days will make no difference - battery will still be dead!

it wont damage the car (right away)
it most likely could damage the battery depending on what was left on. leaving the ignition on and killing the battery wont damage the battery (unless its pretty old) but, say, leaving the lights on could buckle the plates inside the battery and cause a short. the battery wont stay charged and the shorted battery could damage the car's charging system.

no you will not have problems if you jump start it but after you have you need to leave it running or take itt for a drive to build up the battery!!

If you leave it for a couple days the battery will just take a little longer to charge but will not damage the car.

Have you checked to see that there is water in the battery tho cos that can damage!

Batteries won't recharge themselves. you're able to desire to pass purchase jumper cables, or make a chum genuine speedy that has some. be careful and examine your proprietors instruction manual whilst leaping a vehicle or you're able to desire to finally end up with lots bigger extra high priced issues (fried ECM). you additionally can call a tow provider, maximum of them have "leaping" centers that they furnish. it is going to probable cost you $40-$60 for that in spite of the incontrovertible fact that. A CD participant, dome easy, etc will nevertheless artwork on a low battery, they have a lots decrease draw than beginning a vehicle.
