That's a good one. I would say "Don't sweat the small stuff"

That is so true. I lost my parents and spouse within a year. I watched a loved one die everyday for over 2 years. It has changed my life and who I am so much. Life is short, tomorrow is not promised to no one. Once today is gone, you can never get it back. I try to make the most of everyday and appreciate every new day. Life is what you make it. If you choose to be miserable or unhappy, then you will be but you will be the only one who feels that way. Happiness is a frame of mind and you have to make yourself see things differently. There is a lot that most people long for but if they look around they will see that they have everything they need to be happy. A little kindness showed to someone goes a long way. Not only does it make the other person feel good but it will make you feel good too. I tell everyone that I'm just trying to earn my wings, one feather at a time. Forgiveness is such a easy thing to do. No one knows what another might have going on in their life that makes them the way they are. On judgement day I know I am going to have enough to answer for without having to answer for that too so forgiving is one thing I can do now. Arguements don't solve anything. During the course of an arguement there are things that are said that you can't take back. Don't react when something has been said that offends you. If you will give it a few days, most of the time it won't seem as big as you first thought. If it still bothers you after you have waited you will be able to talk to the person more calmly about what offended you and they are more receptive to your comments. I try to be a better person.

1. Your life is what you are making it out to be. You're creating it as you go by your choices and attitudes. 2. When you have self respect and esteem, you don't need the approval of others. 3. Being yourself is easy, trying to be what others like or expect is denying and killing the spirit inside of you. 4. Each of us has the same 24 hours a day and choices. Choose poorly and life sucks. Choose wisely and you create a life for yourself that is worth living. 5. All good things come to those who wait, as long you work your *** off while you wait. 6. The ONLY person thinking about you . . . is you. 7. You'll be happier if you strive for balance in your life. 8. Life is too short to be in a place you don't want to be, doing something you don't want to do, or being with someone who doesn't make you a happier, better person. 9. There IS a God. (S)He doesn't give a hoot what you call Him (Her) as long as you do. 10. There are no answers to be found, just the journey to be lived.

Appreciate your Mother, once she's gone you can't apologise, laugh, cry, share secrets, or children. Mine died when I was 22, I'd just had my first child, she is now 24! I have three others who will never know her. I feel cheated at times. But do have my memories. They will never go.

Mine is to just enjoy life, relax yourself and be open to and aware of everything that you can because the world is what we make of it and it can be the best thing ever if you just extend your perception inward and outward and be open to all aspects of reality no matter how unreal they may seem to be.

Clarabell - I learned that one too! It is a good one and it hurts my heart when people live in animosity.

My lesson was that people are inherently good and that we lose our way. Knowing that has allowed me to slow down and have compassion for others.

1: Don't sweat the small stuff.
2: Don't underestimate myself. I've been doing that for a long time and uni proved me wrong. I'm better than that.
