I would probably do this. It has little concequence to your roster.
Eli has very few weapons left. His biggest help was Tiki Barber. Shockey is always hurt, Toomer helped build the Great Pyramid, and Plaxico Burress only plays when he feels like it. Tiki was a very good receiver.
Kitna has plenty of weapons. His O-line blows, and the fearsome tandem of Kevin Jones and Tatum "Fumbles" Bell will leave them behind often.
Do it.
Trade McNabb after he shows he can play. He still has that lingering Campbell's soup curse.

Actually, you arent very strong at the QB position. McNabb has not finished the last 2 seasons. Now, he is getting a little older and so I think he is a concern with injuries again. I don't like Eli and as for Kitna, I play NFL FF and it is -2 points for an INT. I don't think I would get caught up in the hype of Kitna's words about winning. He may have 2 lightnings in a bottle at WR, a good RB, but the line is weak. Also, they have no Defense which means Kitna will always be trying to come from behind. so we are the real question is who is the lesser of 2 horrible QBs, Kitna or Eli. Well, unfortunately, I take Kitna as Eli just has absolutely no one. After week 1, McNabb will throw 350 yards and 3 TD's, TRADE HIM while his value his hot. This is just Mirage for the rest of the season, TRADE HIM. You'll think me around week 6 or 7.

Yea, drop Eli he is not a good FF starter, Kitna is. He will probably throw for 4000+ yards again in Mike Martz' pass happy offense. The lions may still suck but kitna should do well stats-wise even if he chokes in the 4th quarter. Eli is so inconsistent he would be a crapshoot every week to do well or not. Kitna is a good backup because you know McNabb will go down at some point.

Personally, I don't Eli too much this year but he should have an ok year. The thing is that you can't drop Eli because of his value, unless you are in a 4 team league. You'll get laughed at and dropping him could come back to bite you. I would try to drop someone else for Kitna, anyone else you can drop? Then, when/if you pickup Kitna trade Eli or McNabb to make your WR or RB stronger. And Kitna with Eli/McNabb will be a good QB setup for you. Hope this helps.

Kitna is potentially a top 5 QB, Eli is not, especially if your league does not penalize for INTs.
I have to somewhat agree with the notion of trading McNabb, but with a caution. McNabb was an absolute fantasy monster last year prior to going down. Trade him for all you can get because odds are he will get hurt and miss a couple games and might even start out shaky until he's comfortable with his knee again.
There are plenty of QB2s on the wire, so don't worry about who to replace him with.

This is what I would do and I don't have to tell you to look at my profile (tee hee)to be versed in FF . I would send out a league e-mail and a post .That you are will trade McNabb and Manning. To see who bits then take it from there. I like Kitna I dont like E.Manning. so to tell you get rid of him wouldnt be fair. McNabb is going to start the season but I dont think he will finish it. Alot depends on your RBs too.
Good Luck this year. (look at my profile i am well versed haha tee hee -that guy hbk_wall is funny).
anyway good luck.

I would pickup Kitna and drop Eli. Believe it or not but Kitna is a decent fantasy QB if interceptions do not count in your league.
I actually won my league last year with Kitna. Go for it.
