It seems that there has to be something in life of which hope is a remedy of, like despair or misery. But even when I have all that I need, and need nothing more, I would hope, and pray, that what I have will always stay. I think one does not have to be in despair, cornered, or in trepidation to need the utility of hope for his or her consolation and rescue. I think the concept of hope in real life situations is a very dynamic one, more like a constant prayer, enduring love, a formidably positive attitude, or a lasting companion who would stand by through all times thick and thin. One hopes that bad times will soon be over, and then one also hopes that good time will never pass, they will be forever. The question however, remains does hope defy reason? As we hope against all odds, we hope for miracles to take place. We expect that something good will come up to save up even when we see no reason of this happening. For an answer to this question, we can look into human capacity to have faith in all things within and beyond our understanding. We see that faith brings hope in many people’s lives, a form of hope that has a reason of its own through faith.

A more crystallised view of hope, in my opinion, would be like when a person and his world all are put together, and when all the good things have cancel out all the bad things in equal measures, then if something is left in the life of that person that would be hope.

The thing that keeps the world spinning. Without hope we would never aspire to anything different or better we would be depressed and waste away. Hope is one of God's gifts to man kind.

Hope is the rational desire to reach some goal. If it wasn't rational, it would just be wishful thinking. The greater the desire, i.e. the more valuable the goal, the less evidence is required that the goal can be obtained.

Hope is when you say to yourself: I will give it another try, I might get it, again and again. It keeps one going. It pulls people through day by day giving them the feeling that: tomorrow will be a better day. =)
