You have got to be kidding!! Thanks for the belly laugh!! The Yankees have no chance this year and are so pathetic, they don't belong on the same field as the Red Sox.
Chow!!

The Yankees lost a ton of momentum after the sweep in Colorado, the 2 of 3 losses in San Francisco, and the near sweep that the Baltimore Orioles would've handed them (the third game is delayed until July 27th, with the Yankees leading 8-6). I think the division, to them, is also completely out of the question. They're shooting more towards regrouping for next season than they are the Wild Card. What are they, 8 games back of the Card now? It seems like a lost cause. Of course, the Yankees DO always pick up their playing in the second half, so we'll see. Ultimately, though, there's no way any kind of slip up by Boston would drop them behind the Yankees at this point.

With Torre making very POOR management calls, as he has done all week, they don't have a chance, except with the wild card. There about to play Oakland, who have a decent record of 40/38.Oakland has a very good chance of sweeping the Yanks, or least taking 2 out of 3 from them.

The Yanks have no chance of winning the AL East. The Wild Card is possible though.

I think there done. The wild card is just as tough as the division with Detroit/Cleveland and the emergance of Seattle. I give the Yanks a 5% chance of making the playoffs.

Maybe at winning the wild card but I don't think that they are going to catch the Red Sox to win the division.

the yankees right now have no chance at all of makeing the playoffs. And for everyone who thinks they can win the wild card you dont pay attention to any other division in the american league. The indians, mariners, minnisota, toronto and oakland are all ahead of the yankees in the wild card race.
