I have a couple:
I have a black stoned ring that belonged to my grandmother that had been handed down for generations through the females of the family but for some reason instead of handing it off onto my mother when she passed away, she made a request it go to me and I've kept it very close to my heart since.
I also have a silver cross I wear around my neck. I am a widower, twice now in fact but the first time when I was very young, my first wife was cremated and I had a small bit of her ashes sealed inside a necklace for me to wear and the cross happens to be it. I always wanted to keep her close to my heart, and I have for a long time now.

Yes. It's a little scrap of orange construction paper. Seriously.
When my daughter was four, she was nagging me to order pizza for dinner. Finally I told her, "I can't order pizza because I don't have any money." I guess she felt sorry for me, because she went right back to her room and made me an eight dollar bill (Yeah, eight, I don't know why. I guess it sounded like a lot of money to her.) with safety scissors and a silver crayon.
I still carry it in my wallet. (She's twelve now.) It reminds me that no matter how broke I may be, I'm still rich.

I have a ring that belonged to my Mother. I wear it always. I have also passed down one of my Mother's rings to my daughter who is 13. I hope she continues to wear it. I feel that by wearing her ring then she is with me always.
