i just text mailed my so called ex after she called me saying how we were meant to be together and wished things would work out. this happened before and i texted the person she was cheating on me to leave me alone. this person left a message on my phone say that he is going to call the "authorities" on me the first time. a month later she called me again wanting us to work out and she went right back with the other guy. so i text mailed this person about having her leave me alone. is this harassment is the state of PA?

As to situation personally, legal position aside:

Think you are missing the bigger picture..if this girl REALLY wants to be with you, then why to do feel threatened and feel the need to tell another guy to back off?

It takes two to tango and it sounds like she is a willing participant who is playing you for whatever her reasons may be; she could be addicted to drama or just love being wanted. Long term to think about...would you really want this woman to be the mother of your children?

If she cheats and you put up with it, you have already set that precident for the relationship.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, SHAME ON ME!

As to legally, much will depend on whether or not he kept prior messages/printed of text messages and what your "girlfriend" will attest to if contacted by the authorities.

Maybe. And maybe not. And -probably NOT, strictly speaking. "Harassment," has become a statutory offense applying mainly in the work place and covering things such as sex for higher pay, or saying sexually or racially oriented things to others in order to intimdate, etc.

What YOU'RE talking about probably gets into the area of telephonic violations for which state law exists -but usually deals with threats to harm or kill. So, if the "x" is just being wacky, probably no violation of any law.

THAT SAID, it still may be regarded as harassment as a civil matter, in which case, after you've made reasonable efforts to block emails, calls, etc., THEN you ask a judge for a restraining order.

If I were you, I would first lay it all out to my local friendly cop and get a "reading" on where you stand. Go from there.

Pain, isn't it?

I must say you are missing a trick here, agree with her, meet up at a Motel have some fun, buy her some Ann Summers Lingerie to add ambience to the occasion and afterwards leave a $100 dollar bill with a thankyou note on the dressing table and go home. If she does not get the message leave $50 next time and $10 the time after, if she uses you for emotional blackmail why not use her for a spot of the old horizontal tango, who knows the arrabgement might suit both of you.

Sounds to me like you need to get a peace order for both of them to leave you alone. As long as you keep responding they will get harassing you. Next time don't answer your phone or change the number. JUST DON"T REPLY and keep yourself safe.

Hi, I would call the police department and ask them. Your ex sounds like a real dink bat and i sure wouldn't want to go back to a mess like her.

That hardly qualifies as harassment. Even if he reported you the most that could happen is that he could get a restraining order stopping you from texting him.

Though I will say its really stupid of you to text him. What is he supposed to do about her behavior. Only she is responsible for what she does.

I don't think its harassment so much as it is silliness. Ignore them and be the bigger person. They sound like two fools who are meant for each other.

It may not be harassment , BUT ......it is stupid . .. first of all if my woman is cheating , there is no texting anyone , I will throw her sh*t out in the street . And that will be the end of that chapter in this life...

No, it's not. It would get thrown out of court as soon as the trial started. Just change your number and move on, and stop thinking about it.
