specifically in india,
what if and unmarried man has an affair with a married lady, what are the laws that can be used against them?
i hear the laws are unfair refering to the womens protection laws..
(If the female has affair and the man objects and tries to prevent her from meeting her paramour, the man goes to jail.)
is this true?
what is the harshest action a husband can take against his wife's boyfriend?

O.K. In India there exist the provision under the Indian Penal Code section 497 which provides Adultery.--Whoever has sexual intercourse with a person who
is and whom he knows or has reason to believe to be the wife of
another man, without the consent or connivance of that man, such
sexual intercourse not amounting to the offence of rape, is guilty of
the offence of adultery, and shall be punished with imprisonment of
either description for a term which may extend to five years, or with
fine, or with both. In such case the wife shall not be punishable as
an abettor.
Now this fellow who commits such an act of sexual intercourse can be married man or unmarried man & he can be charged for adultery under this provision & face punishment upto five years imprisonment & fine. The wife or the married lady involved in such an act if sexual intercourse is not considered abettor of this offence of adultery. This provision that the married lady or the wife will not be considered an abettor was introduced only few years back before that she could also be made abettor of this offence. This provision of the penal code has been recommended by the National Commission of India to be removed absolutely from the provision of the India Penal Code on the recommendation as given by the Supreme Court Of India in it judgments & even the National Women Welfare Commissions recommendations, but the provision has till date not removed from the penal code by the Parliament of India. The various organizations as mentioned above consider that the act of Adultery should be used as civil wrong i.e. for taking divorce & not as criminal wrong for punishment as under the penal provisions.

Wow, you have a lot of questions, huh.
I don't think there is a law (of people) which gives punishment to those having marital affairs with someone other than his wife or her husband. But in God's eyes, it is not allowed. In Buddhism, I think it is also not good. It is only in Islam religion where adultery is OKd. But as far as I know, there is no punishment for that. (Except when you will be dead, you will be sent to hell.)
To your second question, I don't understand why it is the man who will be going to jail.
The harshest action will be, perhaps, murder. Well killing is the worst kind of action.

This illegal affair should be punished severly. this is cheating for the partner who married him/her.if husband or wife is not satisfied with the spouse he/she married can go for divorce and remarry. He/she wants to live with their spouse ,enjoy family comforts as well Enjoy other affair at a time. Why spouse should bear. This type of illegal relationships make the situation to spouse to suicidal. Is it not not attempt to murder case. How this case is not taken seriously.if husband has relationship his wife suffers a lot. Sometimes she may think of suicide also. Their children also suffer. They all go through lot of trauma. This adultery is equal to rape case. Both done for physical. Satisfaction or lust. A special law should be chalked so that no family suffer.

As per law, the relationship comes under immoral traffic. It is punishable. But both should be punished.
One question: If both (man & woman) are willingly having affairs, [for reasons which can't be explained for example, not satisfied with the legal partner], and if it doesn't affect anyone, should they be punished?

I have no idea about India, but for a married person God does not allow this to happen and so don't look for the harshest penalty, please seek a way of avoiding because there is definitely a turf judgment by God and Government everywhere in the world.
