Just bought a pair of Levi's from Just Jeans but they wouldn't tell me where the jeans are made. They claim that they aren't told this information, and it isn't mentioned on any label. I always thought they were made in the USA (especially because they're relatively pricey), and would hate to think of them being made in some 3rd world country now. Does anyone know?

The Levi's I bought ON SALE for 39.00 were made-wait for it- in Pakistan! the color bled out of them in 3 months. I will never buy another pair of Levi's again. Not until they are made in America!

All that I can tell you is this. Levi Jeans were invented in about 1849 or something by a man named Levi Strauss. He decided to use denim fabrics as clothing, which was much better than the cotton clothing that people wore in theat time when everyone was mining for gold in the great gold rush. If you do not live in AMerica and you live in Europe, Levis will be A LOT more expensive than in the US. From what it sounds like you don't live in the US, or you just don't know how to shop for cheap prices. To the best of my knowledge, Levis are still made in America. Hope I helped! =]

This is one of the reasons why I try to avoid buying new-- To avoid supporting sweat shops, pollution, etc. To me, used is better as when I purchase something from a thrift store I'm helping a good cause such as the work of the Salvation Army of Goodwill. I also do rummage sales as they're even cheaper and I'm also giving an extended life to something better. Knowing what I could be supporting when I buy new disgusts me and makes me feel guilty. To me, it's just an extenstion of my Christian faith.

Nowadays.. Levis are made in few countries in respect of the regional.. Country like Combodia, Turkey, USA, Mexico etc. U can find it inside your jeans

The Haitian government was pressured to not raise the minimal wage by the US which would have impacted American companies Levi and Hanes. Levis are made in Haiti.

Most of them are made abroad these days - but they can keep a certain amount of that information from you, as the sweat shops are kept small enough to avoid major employment laws and requirements in those countries where they operate.
