I accidentally dropped some drops of water near my keyboard and I think some of it may have spilled on the keyboard. It seems to be working fine, but is there any chance that the water could have seeped into the internal components? Is there a chance that it will short out my computer if it did? I'm using a new usb keyboard, if that helps.

No, your KB is cool.

Have you ever opened up a KB? It's just a thin slice of flexible plastic. Bout as thick as a credit card and all the circuits are inside the plastic.

The only place you really have to worry about is where the LEDs are (lights). That's the only place with exposed circuits. If you spill a lot of liquid in that area, just unplug it and turn it upside down for a while. You don't really have to worry about shorting it out tho. There's only 2-5 volts running thru there and there are protection circuits at the other end of the cable to smooth the voltage going in and out.

Corrosion is more likely, in that area, when you spill something on it.

the same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago. I spilled a whole glass of water on my USB keyboard and i though it will die but nothing happened.

Keyboard does not have a high voltage and water would not do any harm to it.

Do not worry, Nothing would happen

:)

I'm sure it's none of business to your PC.

Turn off your PC and give it a day to evaporate. You should be fine.
