Then you keep going 'till you reach 10946

I think people here are missing the question.
The numbers at the beginning are a sequence. You need to continue the sequence until you get to the answer 10946.
So, the "..." shows you where you jump in and the 10946 shows you where to stop.
So, if someone presented that to you, you would write
34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, 1597, 2584, 4181, 6765 and the next number in the sequence would have been the last number presented to you which is 10946.

It doesn't mean anything. It is a bunch of numbers.
The next number is the sum of the last two numbers.
Means nothing...
Well, maybe it is the true meaning of life... but I think that is "42".
