I have a six-year-old with autism, who is noncommunicative. If he asked me how he was like I would be THRILLED. My answer to him would be that he is wonderful. He is full of spirit, cheerful, analytical, and smart. He is loved dearly.

It all depends on who you are, if your me you'll tell him to study up on science, alot of it, and learn jujitsu. For you it depends on how you act as a role model, if you act like a independant person, teach him/her how to be like that, if you act strong teach him/her how to be commanding but not bullying. It all depends on what kind of person you are.

you tell him that he can't. the only thing he can be is himself and that's the closest thing he can get to being like you. be a good influence and tell him that being you isn't the best thing. tell him that if he becomes like you, you'll be bored with whatever he does because you've already done it! :]
