I think a person who commits suicide has serious problems and are definitely weak-willed.

I think that a lot of people would call a person who committed suicide weak-willed. I think you have to take into consideration their mental condition and their beliefs. I believe both a strong-willed or a weak-willed person could do it. People commit suicide when they feel hopeless and that there is no way out of their life situation. I am what everyone calls "strong-willed," but in desperate situations where I thought there was no way out it was a real consideration. I was raised to believe that people who do that "go to hell." And I thought about how my family would feel, and thought of my pets being homeless. As tough as life can get, you just have to hang and believe things will get better. And I cannot stress enough the importance of having friends/significant others to talk to. I knew a very strong-willed man who lost his job, felt he had no support from family or friends, and threw himself on railroad tracks and succeeded in killing himself. And it was not a quick death either. He suffered in the hospital days before dying.

There are a precious few situations where suicide is a strong willed thing to do. Most of the time it is out of desperation and fear. That said I don't think that people who commit suicide should be remembered poorly for doing so. They made a mistake just the same way everyone else does, unfortunately theirs cost them their life.

A suicide can come from either a strong-willed or a weak-willed person, it all depends on the rationale of the act.
A samurai warrior who kills himself because had done something that brought shame to the community may be considered strong-willed, because his purpose was to save the honor of others. But then who are we to judge?
A scorned lover who feels there is no longer any purpose in life may be considered weak-willed because dying is better than facing the challenge. Then again, who are we to judge?
Life is precious, it is true but it is a bigger offense to judge others.

That's easy.
A strong willed suicide is one where the person is absolutely committed to staying dead.
Any person who commits suicide and then returns from the grave, is weak willed.
Curiously enough, there is actually a popular religion based around a guy with 'death commitment' issues.

As far as I know it's not a question of "will", but a question of state of mind, mainly stress. Most people who did commit suicide and lived to tell about it (a failed attempt) report that they where under a large amount of stress. It may have been financial or emotional or physical. Could have been the result of illness or trauma. In the end, it's not a question of will but one of state of mind. Even a strong and good person can be driven to commit suicide because they could no longer manage to deal with what was in their lives. Most suicide is caused by metal illness (which could be temporary). If one is contemplating suicide they should go see a doctor and get some assistance and mediation. IN some cases people get depressed because they have just had a baby or because they are not getting enough sunlight! This is not a question of will, but one relating to hormones and vitamin deficiency, both of which Can be fixed with a bit of therapy and medication.

is this an opinionated question? well here's what I think: i think that person is weak-willed because if he was strong-willed in the first place, he wouldn't be committing suicide, instead, he would continue living his life and face the challenges or consequences that his actions have done. that is when he is strong-willed. otherwise, when he decides to take his life and end it, he has no strength to go on. in short, he gave up, thus making him weak (in a sense.)
well, that's what i think anyway.

Weak Willed!
Its not bravery that some one is not afraid of doing anything? The real bravery is, someone is scared of almost everything AND STILL reaches the destiny after stumbling again and again.
Suicide is not strong will? Its easy. the person is gone! Finished. But, staying here....with the pain, each moment.. that's strong will
Everyone has patience to carry burden on the shoulders; but NOT everyone have guts to carry burden on broken shoulders.
