It seems like here we do again. A car bomb has been discovered just down the road from where I sit. As usual there are not too many details, and I was wondering if anyone had any clue what was going on, or had any wild speculation that they would like to hurl?

Of course the government will be blaming al quaeda,so that the great unwashed will focus their anger there instead of at the muslim community of britain.
So,was it al quaeda?Or was it a bunch of immigrants in britain brainwashed in the council tax built mosques?
you decide.
How long must we go on pretending?
No doubt ,Brown will make a cliched speech appealing for calm.that it is just extremists giving peace loving islam a bad name.Oh,and the stock denunciation from the muslim council of great britain, who are living it up quid pro quo with labour.

I think you'll find "bomb" is an exaggeration. The police called it "a potentially viable explosive device" which I interpret as meaning they found explosives which weren't primed, i.e., the device was not yet ready to be detonated. But "bomb" sounds much more scary so I'm sure all the tabloid press will run with it.

Steve F - go back to Saudi Arabia. We don't want racist pigs like you in this country. And what were you doing out there - avoiding paying taxes to the UK, a country you appear so passionate about?

I doubt the car bomb was there to hurt anyone specific. Anyone would do for them(who ever Them is as i would not like to accuse)! As long as it hurt someone and they got a reaction!!

*Sigh* what a sad world we live in, i'd just like to sit the culprit in a room and have a little chat, and see if they could justify in thier warped little minds what the hell they are hoping to achieve!?

Blowing a car and a few innocent by standers up will not help their cause!!

Not really - but 7/7 is getting near. And we have a change of government?? Could all be connected maybe.

A little worrying - the new Home Secretary lives horribly close to me :(

They found unexploded bombs and think that's it's islamic extremists again. If they hate us so much that they want to kill us and our children why are they living here taking up valuable space. I feel like the government is encouraging them and penalising the normal hardworking ones by shafting us with the tax credit shambles and taxing the a**e off us!

call me cynical, but it could just be a way of proving how on the ball the new Brown government is, and that it will mean new anti terror laws will be brought in to further deny our freedom....

well as a car bomb didn't go off how do you know there was a car bomb there in the first place? did you see the car bomb? do you know what car it was found in?

the more i think about it - poeple in uk (like everyhere!) are subjected to lots of fear, possible lies etc by the very people who are there to supposedly look after the welfare of it's own people.

you can understand why i don't vote!!

Why not just read the BBC website reports and try to stick to facts (as far as they are known just now) ?
